Here We Go Again!

Less than two weeks left until a new year of SHEEP begins! The first week in September will be a very busy one as all our Musical Theatre students participate in auditions for this year's shows: Disney's "The Little Mermaid, JR." and "Shrek the Musical."

For auditions, we ask every student to prepare a short monologue (30 seconds for the junior show, a minute for the high school show) and a song from a musical. Disney songs and show tunes from classics like "The Sound of Music" and "The Wizard of Oz," are common choices. Junior students are allowed to sing a capella, but we highly encourage high schoolers to bring a karaoke track for their song.

We love this time of year! It is exciting to meet new students and see them perform for the first time, and it is equally delightful to see returners "up" their audition game from previous years.

High school auditions have been split up into audition sessions this year. About 10 students will come for a two-hour time block to audition individually and get to know each other. After all four audition sessions are complete, we will announce the Callback list and have a pizza party to start off the school year!
