The Charity Events
In addition to the spring season consisting of the class performances, we also produce regular community-oriented, charity-focused shows. We LOVE using theatre to give back to our homeschool community and to those in need!

THE BIENNIAL
24HR MUSICAL The 24HR Musical is exactly what it sounds like... we put together a musical from scratch in just 24HRs! We accept volunteers from the community for the cast and crews (set, props, costumes, etc.) and reveal the show title 24HRs before showtime. Once the show is revealed, the countdown begins... and everyone stays up all night to make sure the show goes on. Why do something so insane and exhausting? We do it to support a chosen charity connected to our local homeschool community! We think of it as "chaos for a cause." Our 4th Biennial 24HR Musical was held on August 5, 2023. The performance of Fiddler on the Roof raised over $9,000 for 141 Impact! |
THE SENIOR
SHOWCASE The senior class of 2022 was first to present their self-created Senior Showcase! For the Showcase, seniors collaborate to highlight their various talents (singing, dancing, directing/ choreographing, and leadership) for one fun, charity-focused evening. While celebrating the students' years in SHEEP Musical Theatre, this event raising money to support a worthy cause chosen by the seniors. The 2022 "Senior Showcase: The Changical" supported Doors to Freedom. In 2023, the "Senior Showcase: Reflections of Us" supported the LGS Foundation. “Senior Showcase: Never Grow up" supported Lifeline Adoption in 2024. The evening finishes off with a dessert reception for attendees to socialize with the seniors. |
THE CHRISTMAS MUSICAL
SHEEP Musical Theatre Program celebrated Christmas in 2022 with another new Charity Event: The Christmas Musical! Like our 24HR Musical, this event brings together actors and crew from the community. We put together a Christmas-themed musical in support of a charitable cause. Unlike the 24HR Musical, the show is announced and rehearsed in advance. The 2022 Christmas Musical was Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, JR. The show was directed by Matt and Crystal McCall, assistant direction was provided by Sarah Daniel, and it was performed at Journey Church in Summerville. The performances raised over $5000 for the Legacy Center in Roatan, Honduras. |
